This is my favorite heliodor that I have ever owned. In the picture, the crystal appears to be etched everywhere. Actually, the entire side of the specimen that is not visible in the picture is non-etched. This non-etched half of the crystal has retained the typical beryl shape. The crystal also has a flat termination that it stands on. I am always amazed at finding etched crystals that still show a portion of what they looked like before any etching occurred. This heliodor specimen has a vibrant, golden color and is flawless in clarity. The aesthetics portrayed by this specimen are truly a gift to behold.
