Many exceptional beryl specimens from this mine have been unearthed. This specimen is among some of the finest that I have ever seen. It is double-terminated with white caps on each termination. About two-thirds of this crystal has a beautiful, yellow sunbeam color. The other one-third of the crystal is a popsicle-blue color. In some cases, when beryls contain two different colors, such as this one does, one color tends to melt, or slowly bleed, into the other color. The transition between colors is not always this smooth. Within this crystal, there is a perfect dividing line where the colors decide to change, almost as if there is a small, invisible fence separating the two. Another interesting note about this specimen is that it has a spiral formation traveling all the way up and down the heliodor section of the crystal. The spiral vanishes when it reaches the aquamarine section of the crystal, which helps support my "invisible fence" theory.
