This tourmaline masterpiece is from the notorious "rocket" pocket from the Pederneira mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The picture clearly shows from where the name "rocket" pocket originated. The terminations of this specimen are piercingly crisp. For such a large tourmaline, the gem quality is quite daunting. Alarming neon hues of blue and green, hints of yellow near the terminations, and a faint pinkish core at the bottom of the crystal, make up this vividly colorful tourmaline specimen. Placed intricately along the back of the tourmaline crystal, are a few small, clear, gemmy, herkimer-shaped quartz crystals. This specimen has an exalted presence.
